The 10th-anniversary edition will be played on 27th April on the beachfront of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort.
One of the few charity Beach Polo events in Asia, the Asian Beach Polo Championship is played under the Nabha Foundation, an initiative of HRH Princess Bhajarakitiyabha’s that supports the underprivileged to live in Social harmony. To be held on the beachfront of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, the 10th-anniversary edition will be played on 27th April. Teams will compete for the HRH Princess Bhajarakitiyabha trophy, the winnings of which will be donated to the Nabha Foundation. The Beach Polo event will also target the tourism industry in Thailand along with charity. An important step in stimulating the tourism of the state, the event will be supported by His Excellency Former Deputy Prime Minister Suwat Liptapallop, Advisory Chairman of the event; Dr. Harald Link, Chairman of B. Grimm Group and President of Thailand Equestrian Federation; Miss Proudputh Liptapallop, Executive Director of Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd.
The official Press Conference of the 10th year anniversary of Asian Beach Polo Championship 2019 concluded with guests sharing their vision on the objective and expectation of the event. “The Asian Beach Polo Championship 2019 is not only promoting Hua Hin tourism as a sports destination but also as a Charity event to support Nabha Foundation for giving chance to the disadvantaged and underprivileged to live happily in our society”; said Michael Janssen, General Manager of InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. The event will kickstart with the polo tournament and will proceed with several other activities that will be held from 12.30 pm until 5.30 pm with more than 12 teams competing for the HRH Princess Bhajarakitiyabha trophy. After the awards ceremony guest will proceed to the beautifully decorated garden lawn of the resort and celebrate the 10th Anniversary with a themed dinner “Aloha Hua Hin”. The night will end with the themed dinner at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and the people will get a chance to make merit by auctioning fine arts and crafts (Chang Sib Mu) from Nabha Foundation under the initiative of HRH Princess Bhajarakitiyabha and paintings from Hua Hin Artist Village. The earnings from the auction will go to the Nabha Foundation to support the socially backward and disadvantaged people of the society.
Established on the belief that all people should have the opportunity to choose how they live, the Nabha Foundation under HRH Princess Bhajarakitiyabha helps the society’s disadvantaged and prison inmates to help them start new lives. Their belief in second chances has led them to support the instruction courses in craftsmanship as a way of helping inmates to create self-respect and a better way of living. One of Hua Hin’s most enjoyable annual events, the tenth edition of Asian Beach Polo Championship, will be played on the beautiful stretch of white sand in front of the InterContinental Resort. The tournament is jointly organized by Thai Polo & Equestrian Club co-owners Harald Link and Nunthinee Tanner and a 1500 baht donation includes access to both daytime and evening activities.
