SAPA Docklands Polo faced a strong Regal Warriors Team in the finals of the 23rd Arena Gold Cup, held at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. SAPA Docklands Polo featured Alec Banner-Eve, Ed Banner-Eve, and Harold Hodges while Regal Warriors Team had Raph Singh, Grant Collett and the outstanding 9-goaler Max Charlton in their team.
It was a fast and thrilling match with both teams scoring a lot of goals. The teams were tied at 15- all in the final chukker, and everybody was expecting the fifth chukker, but two goals in the dying seconds of the game helped SAPA Docklands Polo win the match by 18-15. This was Harold Hodges’ second title in a row and he was also named MVP (Most Valuable Player).
Team Glitterati Polo with Kirsty Craig (Most Valuable Player), Rosie Ross and Kirstie Otamendi beat Tally Ho Farm with Charlotte Christodoulou, Nell Jacob and Heloise Wilson-Smith with a final score of 16-12 and won The Ladies Arena British Polo.
In the Arena Silver Cup final the audience saw a competitive Team Tchogan beat Team Sifani by 20 goals to 12.
