Engadin valley is all set to witness the 34th Snow Polo Cup from 26 to 28 January 2018. This year is going to many new thrilling new styles and matches all set to become the top event in polo calendar. The legendary restaurant of St Moritz, Chesa Velgia and the Baku Moritz Polo Award are added to the most awaited snow polo in the world. The makeup of ice lying underneath and the large scale and expensive infrastructure on the iced lake has already taken place a week ago. Tickets demands are high for this year. The only snow polo event in St Moritz attracts polo Enthusiasts from all over the world. VIP tent on Saturday and Sunday reported “Sold Out” status. Even it seemed that Polo Gala Night has been sold out. 15000 polo fans are expected the snow polo this year. Partner hotels also had high bookings. Admission to this free as every year.

The Cartier Trophy this year will be participated by four top teams from nine countries. The trophy will start on Friday where the two consecutive years of snow polo trophy Cartier Team will be accompanied by Rommy Giani (+1) and is Old mate Chris Hyde (+5), Dario Musso (+6) and Juan Cruz Gregouli (+4) and the first runner-up Team Badrutt’s Palace Hotel with Captain Melissa Ganzi (0). The American player with a first-class team along with Swiss Player, Tito Guadenzi (+2) and the legend from Argentina, Alejandro Novillo Astrada (+8).

Team Maserati will play against last year’s newcomer Team Azerbaijan Land of Fire on Friday’s second game. Zhanna Bandurko (0), the Russian Player will make her debut at Snow Polo World Cup. The Azerbaijan team will be led by Captain Elchin Jamalli (+3). Bendurko along with Robert Strom (+50, Gerald Mazzini (+6) and Hissam al Hyder (+6) and two from Aregentina will play against Team Azerbaijan.

In 1985, St Moritz has established the world’s first ever snow polo tournament and as a host to a high goal polo tournament in an amazing natural setting at St Moritz being playing field alongside. The Snow Polo even hosts a number of great social events in its First-Class hotels for the tournament visitors and VIPS from all over the world. Azerbaijan was the originator of snow polo 300 years ago and since 2013, its international Capital Baku holds International polo events with the support of St Moritz.
