THE 7TH EDITION OF GUARDS LA AGUADA POLO TROPHY

The 16-goal tournament that held within the 2017 HSBC Spring Season, at La Aguada Polo Club, in Open Door, Argentina, kicked off on Monday November 27. There are four teams that would be playing for the tournament to the 7th edition of the Guard’s La Aguada Polo Club.

THE 7TH EDITION OF GUARDS LA AGUADA POLO TROPHY
The 16-goal tournament that held within the 2017 HSBC Spring Season, at La Aguada Polo Club, in Open Door, Argentina, kicked off on Monday November 27. There are four teams that would be playing for the tournament to the 7th edition of the Guard’s La Aguada Polo Club. The competition that started on Tuesday 28th is hosted by La Aguada Polo Club, in close Partnership with one of the UK’s biggest polo clubs, Guards Polo Club. The partnership between these two elegant clubs ensures that the tournament features patrons and players from this leading UK Club, located in Windsor Great Park, but also attracts prominent players from other key clubs. These two clubs apart from working together for this tournament are indulged in co-hosting the world class children’s competition, the Guard’s La Aguada Youth Tournament, etc. The leading polo families of Argentina and England are brought together through this competition, in order to create a platform to develop the sport and build lasting friendship.

Guards Polo Club has a history of hosting more than 30 tournaments every season, including the 22-goal Queen’s Cup. It is probably the most famous club in the world. Founded in 1955 by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The tournament of Guards La Aguada Polo Trophy is one of the biggest polo competitions in the world, attracting the sport’s top players. The Queen attends the finals of this tournament to present her trophy to the winners. VII La Aguada Guards Polo Trophy participating teams with their scores are:

Tattleton: Alex Stone 0, Charlie Cadogan 1, Eduardo Novillo Astrada Jr. 8, Santiago Mendivil 5. Total: 14

Whitehall Ranch: Bill Lane 0, Francisco Benoit 2, Miguel Novillo Astrada 8, Facundo Obregon 6. Total: 16

So waiting for the finals on December 3, 2017 the teams are looking forward for the trophy to be in their hands glowing out with victory.
