POLO GRACES PATIALA AFTER A DECADE
After a decade of missing out on Polo, the Western Command of the army organized a Polo challenge match bringing Polo back to Patiala. Patiala despite its rich history and regal involvement with the sport last saw a match in 2006.

fter a decade of missing out on Polo, the Western Command of the army organized a Polo challenge match bringing Polo back to Patiala. Patiala despite its rich history and regal involvement with the sport last saw a match in 2006.
The match that was held at Patiala Aviation center was well received by the audience and had many illustrious personalities like Lt Gen Surinder Singh, General Officer Commander-in-Chief and Raja Malwinder in attendance.
The teams playing at the match were Patiala Chargers and Patiala Raiders. The audiences witnessed a fine game of Polo as both the teams played a tight game. Despite an impressive defense, Patiala Raiders were defeated by Patiala Chargers by 4-3.
The match also featured a flypast by Patiala Aviation Club and an equestrian show by 61st Cavalry.
