La Dolfina Brava defeated their unbeaten rivals Ellerstina on the mecca of Polo, legendary Palermo grounds, Buenos Aires. The crowd was on their toes as the match was turning exciting with every chukka. In the first chukka both the teams were neck to neck as both the teams scored twice against each other.

As the second chukka got underway, the girls of La Dolfina eventually took control of the game and denied Ellerstina any opportunity to score a goal and the second chukka remained goal less. In the third chukka, Milagros Fernandez Araujo found the goal post twice, and Ellerstina could manage to score only one goal in the response, La Dolfina was leading till the end of the third chukka by 4-3.

The match continued and La Dolfina was leading by 6-3, Lia Salvo scored three consecutive goals for Ellertsina and drew the score, La Dolfina was not able to respond until the end of the fourth chukka. The extra chukka was commenced and Fernando Araujo missed the opportunity to score twice, but soon Nina Clarkin took advantage of a mistake made by Ellerstina and scored an easy 30-yard penalty for La Dolfina and claimed the 2017 Women’s Argentine Open title with the final score of 7 to 6.

La Dolfina’s Candelaria Fernandez Araujo was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award and Best Playing Pony rug was awarded to Dolfina Clone 03 Lapa.
