After the success of Von Dornberg/ Stick & Ball Wickenden Cup Finals, Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club has once again partnered with Stick & Ball to present the Santa Barbara Polo & Wine Festival. The event was scheduled on Saturday, October 7.
The event featured live music by some of the greats of music industry and wine tasting, courtesy of Several Santa Barbara County Wineries.
R&B heavyweight Macy Gray and alternative rock giantLP performed at the inauguration of the festival. Presented by KCRW, the event also included musical performance by Nick Waterhouse, Durand Jones & the Indications and Vieux FarkaToure.
$1 from each ticket sold is donated to Notes for Notes. Notes for Notes, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with the opportunity to explore, create, and record music for free, by equipping after-school recording studios inside Boys and Girls Clubs.
The festival presented a fresh, locally sourced menu, featuring several local favorites such as Barbareno’s contemporary California cuisine, Buena Onda’s Empanadas and Asian-American fusion by The Black Sheep.
