Consecutive Victories For Mumbai Polo Team

Jaipur, Rajasthan - Three matches were played on the second day of the Army CDR Polo Cup. There was some intense polo action on the second day as all the three matches ended on small margins. Mumbai Polo faced Rajnigandha Achievers, Benaz Corp was playing against 61 Cavalry and ASC Col Girdhari Polo team battled against LA Pegasus Polo Knights. The third day was exciting too as Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo played against Mumbai Polo, ASC Col Girdhari team faced Chandna Group and LA Pegasus Polo-Titans competed against Benaz Corp. The finals will be played on 6th October.

 

DAY 2

 

Mumbai Polo Vs Rajnigandha Achievers
Mumbai Polo team was in action on day 2 of the Army CDR Polo Cup. Two big giants of the Army CDR Polo cup faced each other on the second day. It was expected to be a high scoring match but not many goals were scored. It was an intense fight between the two teams with one able to outshine the other. Mumbai Polo team played with Vandit Golecha (0), Shyam Mehta (0), HH Maharaja Padmanabh Singh (+3) and Abhimanyu Pathak (+5). Rajnigandha Achievers played with Sep Ravindra (-2), Pranav Kapur (+2), Salim Azmi (+3) and Cote Zegers (+5). The winning goal was scored in the last minutes. The match ended on a single-goal difference.

It was a tough competition and both the teams tried their best to start the tournament with a win. Mumbai Polo team were the better of two and won the match by 6 - 5.

ASC Col Girdhari Polo Team Vs LA Pegasus Polo Knights
ASC Col Girdhari Polo team faced LA Pegasus Polo Knights on day 2 of the Army CDR Polo Cup. It was an exciting match with surprising results. In the 8-goal match, ASC Col Girdhari Team played with a total of +7 handicap. ASC Col Girdhari team had Akshay malik (0), Navin Singh (+2), Cdr Akhil Sirohi (+3) and Col GS Pandher (+2) playing for the team. LA Pegasus Polo Knights were ready to face ASC Col Girdhari team with Hurr Ali (-2), Mitesh Mehta (+1), Sidhant Sharma (+4) and Dhruv Pal Godara (+5) playing for La Pegasus Polo Knights. The match started with ASC Col Girdhari team in the lead by 0.5 point. ASC Col Girdhari team were given the lead as they were playing with less handicap.

Some good polo action was displayed in the match and ASC Col Girdhari team emerged as the winners. The final result saw ASC Col Girdhari team winning against LA Pegasus Polo Knights by 8.5 - 5.

61 Cavalry Vs Benaz Corp
The third match of the second day was played between 61 Cavalry and Benaz Corp. Both the teams faced each other with a total of +8 handicap. 61 Cavalry played with Captain Mritunjay (-2), Maj Aman Singh (+1), Lt Col Vishal Chauhan (+4) and Col Ravi Rathore (+5). Benaz Corp played with Sunny Patel (+1), Dhananjay Singh (0), Vicky Nihalani (+2) and Basheer Ali (+5). It was expected to be a high-goal match but only 9 goals were scored in the match. It was an intense match that ended on the 1-goal difference.
The match was quite thrilling and the suspense lasted till the last minute. Both the teams were equally strong but Benaz Corp was able to win the match by a goal. Three goals from Col Ravi Rathore couldn’t help 61 Cavalry to win the match. The final score was -

Day 3

 

Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo Vs Mumbai Polo
Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo played against Mumbai Polo on day 3 of the Army CDR Polo Cup. Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo face Mumbai Polo with a team of +7 handicap in a +8 match. Carysil Polo had Chirag Parekh (-1), Ashwani Sharma (0), Vishal Singh (+3) and Sameer Suhag playing for them. On the other hand Mumbai Polo played with a +8 handicap and were ready to face Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo with Vandit Golecha (0), Shyam mehta (0), HH Maharaja Padmanabh Singh (+3) and Abhimanyu Pathak (+5) playing for the team. It was a good match with plenty goals scored by each side. The match started with Carysil Polo-Krishna Polo in the lead by 0.5 point.
The match was quite interesting and energetic. Both the teams scored back-to-back goals but Mumbai Polo were able to finish the match with a lead. Mumbai Polo won their second match of the cup by 10 - 7.5.

ASC Col Girdhari Team Vs Chandna Group
ASC Col Girdhari Team faced Chandna Group on day 3 of the Army CDR Polo Cup. ASC Col girdhari team played with a total of +7 handicap in the +8 match. Chandna Group faced ASC Col Girdhari team with a +8 handicap. Sanjay Jakhar (-2), Gaurav Sehgal (+3), Ashok Chandna (+1) and Gerardo Mazzini (+6) played for Chandna Group Polo team. ASC Col Girdhari team were ready to face Chandna Group with Akshay Malik (0), Navin Singh (+2), Cdr Akhil Sirohi (+3) and Col GS Pandher (+2) in their team. It was a tough competition between the two teams and the results clearly showed that. The match ended on 1-goal difference with no clear winner till the last minute.
Chandna Group emerged as the winners of the battle. Chandna Group were able to win the match by 7 - 6.

Benaz Corp Vs LA Pegasus polo-Titans
LA Pegasus polo-Titans and Benaz Corp played against each other on day 3 of the Army CDR Polo Cup. Both the teams played with a total of +8 handicap. Benaz Corp played with Sunny patel (+1), Dhananjay Singh (0), Vicky Nihalani (+2) and Basheer Ali (+5) in their team. LA Pegasus Polo-Titans were ready to face their opponents with Mayurdhwaj Singh Talbgaon (-2), Raghav Rao (+1), Uday Kalaan (+3) and Simran Shergill (+6) playing for LA Pegasus Polo Titans. It was a close match and the winner was unpredictable till the last minutes.

LA Pegasus Polo Titans won the match by 6 - 5. It was an impressive victory for the Titans helping them qualify for the Semifinals.
The Semifinals of the Army CDR Polo Cup will be played on 5th October. LA Pegasus Polo Titans will play against ASC Col Girdhari team in the first semi-final of the cup and Mumbai Polo will be playing against Chandna Group Polo team in the second semi-final of the Army CDR Polo Cup.
