The event has been called Coutourier Du Reve and is sponsored by Swarovski. The completion of 70 years of The House of Dior is being hosted by Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris under Maison Christian Dior. This elaborate event is sponsored by Swarovski. The celebration of this grand event from the 5th of July 2017 till the 7th of January 2018 aims at binding together fashion with history.

The invitations were laid out to take the guests through Dior’s journey over the past 7 decades. Its uniqueness lies on the spotlight that has been cast on the six couturiers that succeeded Christian Dior and exalted the name of the brand. The inauguration was attended by celebrities like Celine Dion, Laetitia Castaa and Eva Herzigova and on the following days by Karlie Kloss and Natalie Portman, to name a few. The event has a lineup of runway shows. It is holding a massive exhibition of over 300 dresses that have been created by Dior since 1947 to the present day with each of these dresses bearing a rich story. Among the other objects at display are accessories and perfumes, fashion photographs, documents, projections, sketches of the first Dior fashion show, advertisements, notes, letters, etc, all being brought under one roof in an area of 3,000 square meters.

The event has successfully captured the essence of the culture in Dior . The collected display of the objects have been showcasing Christian Dior’s idea of connecting fashion with everything that is of relevance in today's world. The layout of the hall portrays dream in the form of reality with the whole concept having been strategised by the first woman head of Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri. The apparel displays semi-transparent evening gowns in shades of grey. Chiuri’s collection is known for the comfortable dresses that can be worn during the day as well as evening paired either with heels or sneakers. All in all, Christian Dior’s legacy is being well showcased in the event.
