The second day of the illustrious Emirates Open Polo Season had the Maserati Polo Team playing against the Abu Dhabi Polo Team. The match between the two teams showed great promise for the previously victorious Maserati Polo, however it did not take long for the Abu Dhabi Polo team to turn the tide as the ended the five chukker game to an end securing a 6-11. The match had Abu Dhabi star player the Argentine Santiago Cerenadas scoring 5 goals, furthermore the Patricio Cieza scored 3 goals, while Faris Al Yabhouni scored 2 goals for the team. By the end of chukker five, the match was at a neck and neck 7-6, but during the final seven minutes Abu Dhabi managed to triumph.
The second match of the day, between Wolves and Desert Palm, had the audiences at the edge of their seats. By the end of third chukker it seemed like the Wolves would take the winning title as they scored 7-3 against their opponents. But soon enough Desert Palm’s Matias Machado managed to bring the score up to a 7-6, with the lead reduced to 1 goal. In spite of both teams displaying a fine game, it was Wolves Mahara who won by a close 7-8.
