Polo Heritage Lift The H.H. Maharaja Of Jodhpur Cup

HH. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup came to an end on Tuesday, 18th December 2018 with Polo Heritage and Jodhpur Polo team battling for the trophy. The last match of the tournament witnessed a nerve-racking fight between the two teams. The sunny afternoon was ready to witness a fierce battle in the finals.

Jodhpur Polo team kicked off the match with a 0.5 point lead. Alejandro Manuel Roldan and Abhimanyu Pathak, the umpires of the match whistled for the match to start. The first goal of the match was scored by Jodhpur Polo team. They extended their 0.5 points lead to 1.5. Two goals were scored by Jodhpur Polo team in the first chukker. Bhanwar Kartikeya Singh and Bhanwar Janmejai Singh were the scorers for Jodhpur Polo team in the first chukker. Dhruvpal Godara scored the only goal for Polo Heritage in the first chukker. The first chukker winded up with Jodhpur Polo team leading by 2.5 - 1.

The second chukker of the finals was also head to head. Not many goals were scored in the second chukker but the fight got intense after the first half. Angad Kalaan scored the only goal for Jodhpur Polo team in the third chukker. A goal each from Dhruvpal Godara and Emilio Urrea Kirby for Polo Heritage Polo team brought them close to their opponents. Jodhpur Polo team were leading by a margin of 0.5 after the second chukker. The score was 3.5 - 3.

The third chukker opened with a goal from Angad Kalaan for Jodhpur Polo team. Angad Kalaan scored a series of goals in the third chukker to help Jodhpur Polo team get clear of their opponents. Dhruvpal Godaran, the man in action, scored two goals for Polo Heritage Polo team in the third chukker. Even though the Jodhpur Polo team were leading by 6.5 - 5, the match could still go either side. The fourth chukker witnessed a total of 6 goals. Angad Kalaan scored two of the six goals for Jodhpur Polo team. Dhruvpal Godara was unstoppable and he scored three goals to help Polo Heritage equal the goals. Both the teams had scored 8 goals and Jodhpur Polo team were racing towards the trophy because of the 0.5 point lead when a penalty was awarded in favor of Polo Heritage in the last two seconds of the match. Dhruvpal Godara scored from the penalty and Polo Heritage won the H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup after defeating Jodhpur by 9-8.5. Dhruvpal Godara was named the Most Valuable Player.
