H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup : Day 1

odhpur, 11 December | Under the auspices of H.H. Maharaja, Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Club Institution at Maharaja Gajsingh Sports Foundation Polo Ground H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup was initiated. The first day of the 8 goals tournament, Pool “A” Match was held between Jodhpur and Bedla Polo at 3 pm.

The match featured Jodhpur Polo and Bedla Polo and saw the former win by 3 goals to 2. Kuldeep Singh was the first to get on the score board and scored the only goal for Bedla in the first chukker. He was followed by Bhawani Kalvi in the second chukker scoring another. Kartikeya Singh scored Jodhpur’s first goal in the second chukker. Siddhant Sharma and Dhruvpal Godara scored one each in the third and fourth chukker respectively.

The final score was 3-2 in favour of Jodhpur Polo. Abhimanyu Pathak and Lorrente were the match umpires while Gaston Devrient was the match referee. There was an entertaining band performance by Army Rajputana Rifles Pipe Band which got the audience in a sportsmanship spirit.

The two day tournament will be held on Saturday. Colonel Rathore announced that match will be played on Saturday, 16 December H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup Tournament.(8 goals)
