Indian Army faced Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club (HPRC) in the Army Commanders Polo Cup 2018. The match was conducted by Bison Riding and Polo Institute (BRPI) at Bison Polo ground, Secunderabad. Indian Army dominated from the start and won the match by 7 goals to 3.
The match got off to an exciting start as Vishal Singh scored the opening goal for HPRC Team, but Indian Army levelled things up thanks to a counter attacking goal by Maj Arjun Patil. The first chukker ended at 1-1. The second chukker saw both teams score two goals each and the score was 3-3 by the end of it.
The third chukker saw Indian Army take a stunning lead of three goals. The score at the end of the third chukker was 6-3. The fourth chukker went goalless and the score heading into the final chukker was 6-3. Indian Army held on to their lead and ended the contest with a brilliant goal scored by Major Yatendar, who made it 7-3, thereby clinching the win and with it the Army Commanders’ Polo Cup 2018 for Indian Army.
