The Guards Polo Club is a polo club located in Smith’s Lawn, Windsor Great Park, Egham. It celebrated more than six decades of premier polo in an incredible location.

The Indian Empire Shield, which dates back to the 1920's, is played for by some of the sport’s leading 18-goal teams. With such an open competition,every game is tough and spectators are guaranteed some great sport in the middle of the Club’s summer season.There were two leagues and and two sub groups.

League One included Altamira, Madams Farm, EFG Aravali, HB Polo and Marchfield whereas League Two included Delaney, Kildare, Park Place and Sifani.

Group 3 Sub Group A included Bardon, El Rosario and Ferne Park. Group 3 Sub Group B included Cortium, Emlor, Four Quarters and Black.

The league matches took place from 4th July to 18th July. The participating teams included Kildare, Cortium, El Rosario, Bardon, HB Polo, Delaney and Park Place. There was a subsidiary semi final and the semi final on 20th July, Thursday and the subsidiary finals and finals on 22nd July, Saturday.

The finals were between teams Cortium and Emlor, where Cortium defeated team Emlor by 12-6 and celebrated the victory.
