International Elephant Polo Championship brought to an end
The annual event which took place every year in Nepal , will not be held this year onwards.

The organiser. Tiger Tops said they are not going to organise the championship for the 35th series successfully in the district from this year onwards. The championship has been a major tourist attraction both for domestic and foreign tourists visiting Nawalparasi, Nepal.

Managing director of the Tiger Tops, DB Chaudhary , said , “We decided not to organise the championship to end mistreatment of animals.” This comes in wake of the increasing trend of hoteliers stopping elephant ride in Chitwan and other national parks of the country.
