IPG Col Girdhari Singh Memorial Cup: Finals

PG Bedla emerged winners of IPG Col Girdhari Singh Memorial Cup (8 Goal) polo tournament beating Sahara Warriors Achievers by 6 goals to 5 in the finals played today at the Jaipur Polo Ground. Mare Milossa from Himmat Singh Bedla’s stables adjudged the Best Polo Pony and Siddhant Sharma adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the match. Lt Gen MH Thakur, VSM, ADC, DGST gave away the prizes to the players.

Finals played today between IPG Bedla and Sahara Warriors Achievers was closeling contest. Both teams were 8 goal each and combined well. Abhimanyu Pathak opened the account for IPG Bedla wheres Salim Azmi opened the account for Sahara Warriors Achievers In the 2nd chukker Matthew Perry scored 2 goals for Sahara Warriors Achievers while Abhimanyu Pathak scored one goal for IPG Bedla.

In the 2nd chukker Matthew Perry scored one goal to increase their team’s tead 4 goals to 2 but Abhimanyu Pathak and Siddhant Sharma scored one goal each and level the score 4 each. In the last chukker Siddhant Sharma converted a 40 yard penalty and scored one field goal to advande his team towards a well position but Matthew Perry scored one goal to reduce the margin.
