Maharaja of Jodhpur Golden Jubilee Cup: Day-1

odhpur Polo Season 2017 kick started its tournament in a much enthusiastic fashion in Maharaja Gaj Singh Sports Foundation Polo Ground, Airport Road, Pabupura under the aegis of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Club Institute. The match was played at 3 pm between Jodhpur and Navy.

The Jodhpur Team wins scoring nine goals and defeated the opponent with a difference of 4.5 goals. Chief Protector of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Club Institute Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji along with Kenya's Vice President William Rudow and Farooq Yunus Ambassador Federation International Polo (F.I.P.)Egypt were present. Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji started the match by throwing the ball at the beginning of the match.

The match played was quite unilateral in which from the very beginning Jodhpur's team dominated the opponent in the entire game. Jodhpur team players Dhruvpal Godara and Siddhant Sharma scored four goals each. Dhruvpal scored two goals in the first and later single goal in third and fourth chukker whereas Siddhant Sharma scored single goal in second and fourth chukker and two goals in the third chukker. Other players like Kartikeya Singh scored one goal in the fourth chukker.

From the Navy team, Commander Akhil Sirohi and Dhananjay Singh scored one goal in the first and fourth chukker respectively. Meheranagarh Band and Twelve Army Rajputana Rifles Pipe Band echoed the aura with their melodious music.
