n 1832, in the beautiful lush green town of Saint-Imier, a boy named Auguste Agassiz made and sold pocket watches with crown- wheel escapements. He put on display the watches he made at exhibitions throughout Europe and quickly acquired a reputation. The Longines factory was established in 1867 and is considered a pioneer in watchmaking. With many benchmarks such as creators of hour angle watch, bringing the first watch with automatic winding and hence becoming official timekeeper of the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952. The company faced economic difficulties with the advent of quartz watches but when the company was integrated with the SMH group, now known as the Swatch group, it gained its position in the watch manufacturing market.

The slogan ‘ Elegance is an attitude’ has not only promoted the products of the company but has inspired many. Each watch collection has its very own style, while remaining true to the timeless elegance that is the core value of the brand. Each watch portrays timeless class and delicate beauty.
