T

he savouring food and the sparkling wine is just around the corner with the Gourmet Escape. With several years of high-profile visiting chefs, hands-on events and of course tons of great food and wine, the annual Margaret River Gourmet Escape is back from 16th to 19th November, 2017.

Celebrating wine like never before honouring the famed wine region’s 50th anniversary, the festival showcases an appetising line-up events, emboldening new talent including home-grown culinary royalty Curtis Stone.

Jancis Robinson, OBE, MW (UK) the world renowned wine critic would be attending many wine featured events while Curtis (acclaimed of Maude & Gwen Restaurants, Los Angeles) would be accompanying over 50 of the world’s leading food and wine personalities, including chefs from the World’s Best Restaurants like Andre Chiang of about 14 Restaurant Andre in Singapore, Alex Atala of D.O.M. in Brasil, David Thompson of 28 Nahm in Thailand, Ashley Palmer-Watts of 36 Dinner by Heston UK and Rodolfo Guzman of 42 Borago, Chile.

This year Margaret River Gourmet Escape would experience Asia’s Best Female Chef, May Chow of the Little Bao In Hong Kong, joining highly acclaimed chefs like Pierre Koffmann from UK, Danny Bowien (Mission Chinese in USA), Kyle Connaughton (Single Thread Farm, USA), and Kris Yenbamroong (NIGHT + MARKET, USA). Joining the Gourmet Escape line up for the first time to collaborate on events showcasing premium local produce and stunning Margaret River locations.

The royal chef, Curtis Stone is all set for the event and said "I’m so excited to get back to Margaret River, I've got some beautiful memories from shooting surfing the menu there and I really feel like it's one of the most special places in Australia - amazing local seafood and produce and, of course, an epic coastline. I'm looking forward to getting behind the stoves with some of the incredible chefs taking part this year. It's going to be delicious!"
