MEHRANGARH DEFEATED B.S.F IN UMAID BHAWAN PALACE CUP

he 17th Jodhpur Polo season witnessed Umaid Bhawan Palace Cup final match on 8th December played at Maharaja Gajsingh Sports Polo grounds. Maharaja Gaj Singh and Yuvraj Shivraj Singh of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute marked their presence. Mehrangarh team won the finals against B.S.F team with final scores being 9-5. Player Janmejai Singh’s role was significant for Mehrangarh’s win.

Patron and chief Maharaja Gaj Singh and Umaid Bhawan Palace General Manager Meher Navraj Aaveri were present during the match to present the trophies to the winning team. Honorary Chief Colonel of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute praised Janmejai Singh who scored one goal each in four chukkers. The game also saw Jai Veer Singh Gohel who scored one goal each in first and second chukker and Lokender Singh scored amazingly in the third and fourth chukker.

With one half pointer extra for the match B.S.F player Yogeshwar Singh opened the scoreboard for B.S.F with three goals in first chukker and one goal in third chukker. Coach of B.S.F Deupty Commander Yukub Ali Pathan, Maharaja Madan Singh, Jitendra Singh Ahuva, Colonel Bhavar Singh Kheechi, Harshwardhan Bhanwari, Jagat Singh, Colonel Geerender Singh, Pushpender Singh marked their presence on the final day.
