Monterosso get the better of Valiente in the Prince of Wales Trophy finale Monterosso featuring Alessandro Bazzoni, Juan Martin Zubia, Cubi Toccalino and Santiago Toccalino faced Valiente featuring Rob Jornayvaz, Hugo Lewis, Adolfo Cambiaso and Magoo Laprida.

The match started with both teams scoring two goals each and the first chukker ended at 2 all. The second chukker saw Monterosso take the lead and then double it to 4-2 by the end of the second chukker.

Valiente got two back in the third chukker after failing to score in the second but could not stop Monterosso from scoring and the score at halftime was 7-4 in Monterosso’s favour.

The fourth chukker saw Monterosso maintain their attacking prowess as they scored three more to make it 10-6 at the end of the fourth. They scored two more in the fifth chukker to make it 12-7. Monterosso scored one in the final to win the match and with it the Prince of Wales Trophy by 13 goals to 8.

Juan Martin Zubia was adjudged the Most Valuable Player while “Winner” played by Santiago Toccalino was adjudged the Best Playing Pony.

Score Progression : 2-2, 4-2, 7-4, 10-6, 12-7, 13-8.
