The 2018 Armed Forces International Polo Tournament concludes in Abuja on Sunday with the Warriors of Morocco rising as champions after defeating the Pakistani counterpart by 11 goals to 6.

The 2018 Armed Forces International Polo Tournament concluded in Abuja on Sunday with the Warriors of Morocco rising as champions after defeating the Pakistani counterpart by 11 goals to 6.The four-day event which took place at the 1212 Polo Club had teams from six countries participating, with Nigeria, the U.S., India, Morocco, Pakistan and Egypt.Both finalists started the game with zeal and were equivalent for most of the first and second chukka but Morroco ended the third chukka with a minor lead and by the end of the fourth chukker, they defeated their opponents.
The event was attended by notable personalities such as the Vice President, President, the Minister of Defence. “It is an event that brought great teams from great countries to Nigeria and they have put Nigeria in the focus of the whole world and expressed joy, partnering with the Nigerian Armed Forces over an event like this,’’Femi Asenuga, the Managing Director of Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Ltd., told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
