Save the date for the happening and quite interesting tournament in your calendars as the highly-anticipated Gay Polo Tournament that will be returning to Wellington, Florida on April 6-8, 2018 tobe hosted once again at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Recently awarded the title of LGBTQ Sporting Event of the Year by Connect Sports, the tournament promises to maintain its award-winning ways byoffering attendees an unrivaled polo experience. Talking about the Gay Polo League, it’s an organization of LGBT polo players in the United States. It was found in 2006 by polo player Chip Mckenney, having its headquarters in Wellington, Florida. The league has been designated by the United States Polo Association as a polo club. Apart from that it has organized clinics and social events at the Eldorado Polo Club, the Empire Polo, the Santa Barbara Polo Club and many more.

Since 2010, the league has organized an annual International Gay Polo Tournament and for 2018 it’s going to be the ninth time. Not only this,the league has made charitable contributions to the Wellington Rotary Club, Compassand Palm Beach County chapter of the Human Rights Council. The guests can once again look forward to the festive Polotini Party to be held on Friday evening at the Wanderers Club, followed by fast paced polo matches on Saturday to determine the 2018 GPL tournament champions. Stick around until Sunday to extend the weekend fun by indulging in the lavish brunch buffet at the members-only Mallet Grill, located within the International Polo Club Palm Beach.

While enjoying brunch on the veranda, attendees will experience the excitement of yet another high-goal polo match on the manicured IPC polo field to conclude the weekend’s festivities.With the dates now locked, LGBTQ polo players have the opportunity to participate in the open call to compete in one of the most popular events of the year.So make sure to add this to your schedule so you do not miss the most exciting social event of the winter polo season!
