It all started 40 years ago, when Eddy Arida, one of the members of the Guards Polo Club, out of his passion brought out the idea of Phoenician Cup.
With his zeal to expand the world of polo, Eddy Arida brought his vision into action. It was then, that the Phoenician Cup was created.
The cup has lived for so many years in the sphere of the sport. With proper time and hardship, the cup gained popularity few a decades before. Thereafter, the cup became one of the most talked tournament of the Club.
Today, the cup has become one of the most of those tournaments which have great competition and splendid performance.
The finals of the cup was played at Guards Polo Club. The match was commenced between Mad Dogs and Tempest, where Tempest won the battle at 5-2.
