The much awaited 16th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel got finally wrapped up with some exciting match results along with snow flurries. The energy was high among all the polo lovers. As it turned out Polo Club Kitzbühel was the first to take the field against their opponents Bernd Gruber, for the Engel and Völkers Cup Final. The first two chukkers were action packed and the scores were 9-3½ by the half time. The match came to an end with local Polo Club Kitzbühel scoring the winning goal and the roars among the crowd went up.

The next battle was between the Kitzbühel Country Club Cup against the Corum. The fight for the coveted cup between them was something breath- taking, two toughest teams as they were. Thomas Winter seemed not that strong an opponent for the vivacious Patrick Maleitzke as he needed to be. Oftentimes, Caspar Crasemann controlled his team’s play with the excellent assistance of Captain Marc Aberle. The scores by the half time were 5½-5 with Corum leading with ½ goal handicap advantage. Well, at the final bell notwithstanding a flurry of last minute activity from the Maserati, Corum took the Kitzbühel Country Club Cup crown with a close 10½-9 scoreline.

The day ended with the final match following the other two matches that happened before. Host team Bendura Bank fought with all its skills and enthusiasm against Engel & Völkers. Soon the match progressed to become a Laplacette vs Novillo Astrada and it became evident who were going to control the match. The third chukkar saw Bendura Bank dominating the field as they extended their lead, but Engel & Völkers weren’t done yet and closed the chukker with a score of 6½-6. Now came the fouth and final chukker where with the full power and control Novillo Astrada delicately placed the ball through the posts from under his pony’s neck, winning the 16th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup Final with a final score of 10-6½.
