Zedan Polo and Bin Drai progressed to the finals of the McLaren Cup after winning their respective semifinal matches on Wednesday afternoon at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.
The first match saw Zedan Polo getting the better of Mahra Polo by a margin of 10-6(1/2) , with ten gaoler , Pablo Mac Donough having a major say in things. After the first two chukkers, the score was level but decisive play in the third chukker saw Zedan achieve a 3 goal lead which they held on to till the final whistle and deservingly progressed to the finals.
The second match was a far more even affair as both Bin Drai and Wolves fought till the very last whistle. A half goal handicap difference in favour of Bin Drai was vital as they went on to win the contest by a margin of 1/2 , with the final score being 7-7(1/2) in favour of them.
