2 Goal Polo Tournament DG RVS Cup Held In APRC Delhi

Six teams were ready to shine in the spotlight, enamoring all eyes with their talents. These teams faced each other for a total of six matches until the audience was given two final teams, which met in the finals this past week. 

Participating Teams 

Match 1: Navy- The Ultimate vs Cavalry Black 

Date: 26 February 

The first game showcased the Navy team’s strength as contenders, and their first target on site was the Cavalry Black. Despite starting ahead in points due to a points advantage, the gap in experience was quite evident in both teams, as the Navy completely toyed with their opponents to secure the first win by a huge margin of about seven points. 

Winners: Navy- The Ultimate ( 10-3.5 )
Match 2: Salvo vs RVC 

The second game was, however, an intense, nail-biting thriller presented to us by the sides of Salvo and RVC. The former team started with a points advantage, and RVC had no idea these extra points would cause their defeat. RVC scored half a dozen goals well, but since Salvo could register the same number of points on the scoreboard, their extra points at the start kept them 0.5 points ahead after all rounds.

Winners: Salvo ( 6.5-6 )

Match 3: Cavalry Red vs Cavalry Black 

Date: 27 February 

The second game on the same day was heaven for the Army Service Corps supporters when they took on RVC. The latter team started with a points advantage. With their aggressive approach, the Army Service Corps secured the highest goals scored in a single game. Dominating every phase of the game, they left RVC shattered beyond hope by the end of the last round.

Winners: Cavalry Red ( 5-3 )

Match 4: Army Service Corps vs RVC

The second game on the same day was heaven for the Army Service Corps supporters when they took on RVC. The latter team started with a points advantage. With their aggressive approach, the Army Service Corps secured the highest goals scored in a single game. Dominating every phase of the game, they left RVC shattered beyond hope by the end of the last round.

Winners: Army Service Corps ( 13-4.5 )

Match 5: Navy- The Ultimate vs Cavalry Red 

Date: 28 February 

After watching a dominating performance in the previous game, it was time for Navy-The Ultimate to showcase their mettle in front of Cavalry Red. Despite having a little advantage at the start of the game, Cavalry Red was outclassed as Navy charged forward with every goal and registered nine goals on the board to win the game.

Winners: Navy- The Ultimate ( 9-6.5 )

Match 6: Salvo vs Army Service Corps

The last league game was an excellent opportunity for Salvo to gain momentum and knock the Army Service Corps out of the DG RVS Cup. In another hard-fought battle, Salvo could utilise their points advantage to the fullest and beat yet another team by the slimmest of margins possible in the polo game. 

Winners: Salvo ( 4.5-4 )

Final: Navy- The Ultimate vs Salvo 

Date: 1 March 

It was finally time for the formidable Navy-The Ultimate to face the cheeky Salvo team. Once again, Salvo started with a points advantage, but this time, learning from the mistakes of others, Navy charged with full force, only focusing on scoring as many goals as possible. As a result, Salvo was left far behind in points and could not keep up with the scoring. Hence, Navy-The Ultimate became the undisputed champions of the DG RVS Cup. 

Winners: Navy- The Ultimate ( 8-2.5 )
