After an enormous day of polo, Abu Dhabi and Bin Drai emerge out to be the undefeated champions on the 6th day of Julius Baer Gold Cup series.
In the first match, Bangash was defeated by Abu Dhabi with a score of 13-7 while in the second match Mahra was defeated by Bin Drai with a score of 10-8.
During the first match between Bangash and Abu Dhabi, it was not an easy win for the Abu Dhabi players. Bangash played the game exceptionally well and did not give up until the last minute. Abu Dhabi player Alfredo Capella, was the star of the match and majorly responsible for Abu Dhabi’s win.
Bangash played a neck to neck game in the first half but slowly receded in the second half. It was at this time that Abu Dhabi took the lead,gradually increased the gap and won the game with 13 goals to 7.

The second match was taken over by patron Saeed Bin Drai’s team against Mahra but their win could only be decided in the last minutes.
The entire match was played with a lot of vigour by both the teams. Whenever their would be a 2 goal difference with one team in the lead, the other team would quickly make a comeback and bring the score to an equal level.
It was only in the last chukker that Franciso Elizalde, the top scorer of the match, scored 2 goals and made Bin Drai achieve this victory with 10 goals to 8.

The next double match series will take place on 28th february starting at 2pm between Bin Drai and Julius Baer team followed by Wolves against Zedan Polo.
