Established over a century ago, Acqua di Parma has been melting hearts with its unique style and fragrances. The iconic collection of perfumes and colognes sets a benchmark in Italian luxury. This year, the brand opened its first-ever boutique in India on 5 April, to much fanfare.
The launch was at The Chanakya Mall, a symbol of grand elegance in the heart of Lutyens Delhi. The mall has fine dining, luxurious fashion, and several entertainment options, offering 189,000 sq ft of sheer pleasure. International brands such as Hèrmes, Chanel, Brunello Cucinelli, Tiffany & Co., YSL, Ted Baker, Rolex, Ralph Lauren, etc, are already in the mall.
Acqua di Parma, the Italian lifestyle and fashion brand, sells fragrances, candles, bathrobes, and leather accessories. ‘Colonia’ was its first organic fragrance created in a small factory in 1916 in the centre of Parma’s historic old town.
In Europe’s early years, most perfumes were much heavier and stronger in composition. On the contrary, Parma’s unusually light and refreshing fragrance was the cause of its huge success. From then on, the company never looked back, and during the thirties and fifties, it became a basic necessity for celebrities and high-profile glitterati.
Encapsulating the notes of spring in a bottle, the perfume stays true to its Italian heritage with the notes of Sicilian citrus, including oranges and lemons. Also, the scent has an undercurrent of Bulgarian roses and lavender with a charming woody base. This formula has not been altered since the brand’s conception.
Mesmerising Luxury Destination
Acqua di Parma has successfully been running for 108 years, and its fragrances have floated in as many as 43 countries. The brand offers fragrances for both men and women, and the launch in Delhi showcases its ability to cater to diverse markets.
The company not only aims to enhance the availability of luxurious products in India but also strengthen its global presence. India is continuously evolving as a hub for luxury consumption, and with Acqua di Parma adding itself to the scene, India is sure to have a promising journey towards opulence.
