Match 1: Madon Polo vs Mayfair Polo

The first game of the tournament started with a face-off between Mayfair Polo (having Mr Anay Shah, Mr Jayvirsinh Gohil, Mr Mitesh Mehta and Mr Daniel Otamendi) going against Madon Polo (having Mr Ziyad Madon, Mr Dinyar Madon, Lt. Col. Yatinder Kumar, and Mr Simran Shergill).

The game was dominated by the side of Mayfair Polo for the most part. They scored one, two and three goals in quick successions in accordance to the first, second and third chukkers of the game. Madons were not able to find any openings between the offence and defence of their opposition as they were not able to score even once during these rounds. However, they were able to outplay the Mayfairs in the last chukker as they scored two goals and tried to close the gap from the first three rounds. Mayfair Polo was not able to score any points in the fourth round.

Winner – Mayfair Polo ( 6-2.5 )

 

Match 2: Young Anchors vs MYQ

The ground was set for the second day of the match held between Young Anchors (playing with V Bajaj, Aryaman Singh, Lt. Arun and Capt. AP Singh) and MYQ ( with Mr Amaan Qureshi, Mr Shyam Mehta, Sunny Patel and Mr Navin).

MYQ got off to an explosive start taking a lead of 2 points from the very first round by scoring three goals as opposed to one goal from the opponent’s side. The Young Anchors tried to take control of the game in the second round by going toe to toe with the MYQs, not letting them widen their lead. Both teams scored one point each in the second round. The outcome of the game became inevitable by the end of the third chukker when the MYQs scored three points and the men in blue could not keep up, scoring only once during the complete round. The flow of the game continued to favour the already dominating team. They scored two more points during the fourth chukker and the Anchors lost their momentum, not being able to get past their opponent’s defence to score even once.

Winner – MYQ ( 9-7 )

Match 1: Madon Polo vs MYQ

The second day of the competition was Madon Polo (having Mr Ziyad Madon, Mr Dinyar Madon, Akhil Sirohi, and Mr Simran Shergill) going up against the side of MYQ (with Mr Amaan Qureshi, Mr Shyam Mehta, Sunny Patel and Mr Naveen Singh). Madons were still searching for their first win while the latter looking to claim a second win in the tournament.

Both sides were desperately looking for a win which could easily be noticed in their offensive play styles throughout the game. The first round of the game was a tie-in points one-one for each side. The second round was brimming with a total of six goals scored but the scoreboard still had an even number of points for both sides, three and three for both sides. Even the third round was a tie when both teams scored one goal each. It was ultimately in the fourth round that decided the winner of the game. The men in orange jerseys were unable to hold their ground in the fourth round as the game was taken away from them by the Madons when they scored a total of four goals during the last round of the game.

Winner – Madon Polo ( 9-5 )

 

Match 2: Mayfair Polo vs Young Anchors Polo

The team going into the finals was to be decided by the second day of the match between Mayfair Polo (having Mr Anay Shah, Mr Jayvirsinh Gohil, Mr Mitesh Mehta and Mr Daniel Otamendi) and Young Anchors Polo (playing with Mstr. V Bajaj, Mstr. Aryaman Singh, Lt. Arun and Capt. AP Singh).

Mayfair Polo dominated the game from the first chukker. They were able to score three consecutive goals in the starting round while the boys in white scored none. In the second chukker, the boys in blue continued their dominance scoring two more goals. The Anchors still struggled to find their opening point. They finally were able to score a point in the third chukker to which the Mayfairs responded by scoring three goals of their own. The result was finally official by the end of the fourth chukker when the game ended with Mayfairs scoring the lone point of the round.

Winner – Mayfair Polo ( 9-5 )

Finals – Madon Polo vs Mayfair Polo

The finale of the tournament was held between the teams who faced off in the very first match of the tournament. Mayfair Polo (having Mr Anay Shah, Mr Jayvirsinh Gohil, Mr Mitesh Mehta and Mr Daniel Otamendi) going up against Madon Polo (having Mr Ziyad Madon, Mr Dinyar Madon, Mr Akhil Sirohi, Mr Simran Shergill).

The first chukker was outshined by the performance of Mayfair Polo when they scored the only two points of the entire round. The players from Madon tried to make a comeback during the second chukker scoring their first goal but their opponents scored three goals of their own. The third chukker went over to the side of Mayfairs as they not only managed to score two goals for themselves but were also able to stop their opponents from scoring even a single time. Madons tried to hold their ground in the fourth chukker and managed to score two goals. Mayfair Polo was not able to score any point in the last round.

Winner – Mayfair Polo ( 7-3 )
