Argentine Season Ends With Copa De Oro Ellerstina Yellowrose

Divided into two pools, renowned teams from across the regions competed fiercely to assert their dominance. As the tournament reached its climax on the lush grounds of Ellerstina Cancha 1, the final stages unfolded with intense action and unforgettable moments.

Match 8: Colorado Polo Team vs La Fija 

Date: 9 December 

The Colorado Polo Team started well and had a lead in the initial rounds, but during the second half of the game, La Fija was able to catch up with the lead, and the game was tied after all six rounds were over. The game went into overtime, where the Colorado Polo Team was able to sneak the deciding blow and win the game.

Winners: Colorado Polo Team (9-8)

Match 9: Calatagan Polo Team vs Yellow Rose 

The last league game featured, for the last time, the Calatagan Polo Team and Yellow Rose. The game was neck-and-neck for the complete time except for the fourth round, where the former team could build up a three-point lead. Still, Yellow Rose recovered in time and scored goals in regular succession, ending in a tie after the sixth round. The overtime belonged to the side of the Calatagan Polo Team, who delivered the final goal to end their campaign on a high note. 

Winner: Calatagan Polo Team (12-11)

Semi-Final 1: Bardon vs La Fija 

Date: 11 December 

The first semi-final game was played between Bardon and La Fija. The game looked quite close in the first half, but Bardon took off in the second half and wanted to enter the finals with a bang. In an attempt to do so, they were able to build up a comfortable four-point lead, which extended and went up to six points by the end of the last round. 

Winner: Bardon (14-8)

Semi-Final 2: Colorado Polo Team vs La Cumbre

The match to determine the second finalist featured the Colorado Polo Team and La Cumbre in an intense showdown. The Colorado Polo Team dominated the first half, scoring nine goals and establishing a four-point lead. However, La Cumbre mounted an impressive comeback, levelling the score in the subsequent round. The fifth and sixth chukkers saw the Colorado Polo Team shine with superior teamwork, ultimately securing their spot in the finals with a well-deserved victory. 

Winner: Colorado Polo Team (15-12)

Final: Colorado Polo Team vs Bardon

Date: 14 December 

After fighting quite hard throughout the tournament, the Colorado Polo Team and Bardon were the two teams deserving of playing in the final game of the Copa De Oro Ellerstina Yellowrose by BTG Pactual. The former team started their game by scoring three consecutive goals while Bardon was still searching for their first goal. Eventually, Bardon made a comeback and was so evenly matched with the opposing team that both ended up on 7 points each at the end of the sixth chukker. The game went into overtime, where the Colorado Polo Team scored the magical goal and won this highly anticipated match.
