Achievers Vishwa Samudra pulled off an outstanding feat and won the 6 goal Rajasthan Polo Club Cup in the 2022 Jaipur Season

February 14th

Starting off the day of love on the right foot the teams displayed their immense passion for the sport on the pitch. The tournament was initiated by Salvo and Haldighati taking the Rajasthan Polo Club pitch. Representing the Salvo team were players Nimit Mehta, Gonzalo Yanzon, Salim Azmi and Lt. Col. Samantray while playing for the Haldighati flag were Nadim Ali, Basheer Ali, Lt. Col. Vishal Chauhan and Lt. Col. Arjun Patil. For the Salvo team Salim Azmi and Gonzalo Yanzon’s teamwork produced a tough defense that led their scores in the first two chukkers. For the Haldighati team Basheer Ali scored four goals putting up a good fight nonetheless the Salvo team won with 7 goals against Haldighati’s 5 goals.

Later in the day, Achievers Vishwa Samudra played against Team Knights. Representing the Achievers team were players: Dino Dhankar, Jayvir Singh Gohil, Daniel Otamendi and Gaurav Sahgal while for the Knights Team were players: Kaushik, Ranshay Purohit, Manupal Godara and Maj. M.S. Chouhan. The collaboration between Jayvir Singh Gohil, Daniel Otamendi and Gaurav Sahgal was a sight for sore eyes as they scored chukker after chukker. Although Team Knights began with a 2.5 handicap yet, Achievers Vishwa Samudra scored 10 goals by the final chukker against Team Knights 5.5 goals.

16th February 

Second day into the low goal tournament Haldighati fought against ASC/RPC who were represented by Vandit Golecha, Maj. Abhimanyu Singh, Naik Ravindra Mang and H.H. Sawai Padmanabh Singh. Although Basheer Ali put his best performance on the pitch yet Vandit Golecha, Maj. Abhimanyu Singh and H.H. Sawai Padmanabh Singh played remarkably well leading to their conquest with 8 goals against 7 goals of Haldighati.

Next up, Fateh Couture represented by Rajeev Reddy, Thakur Fateh Singh, Siddhant Sharma and Naveen Singh went up against Team Knights. The sizzling duo of Naveen Singh and Siddhant Sharma burnt up the pitch with their passionate defense and chase. On the other hand, Maj. M.S. Chouhan, Ranshay Purohit and Ajitesh Rathore scored a total of 7 goals for their team. Although both sides played flawlessly yet Fateh Couture had the upper hand and won with 9 goals.

18th February 

Diving into the semi finals the first match panned out between Fateh Couture and Achievers Vishwa Samudra. Even though Fateh Couture put their finest efforts into the game it was an unpredictable match wherein Achievers Vishwa Samudra came out on top. The stupendous coordination between Dino Dhankar, Gaurav Sahgal and Daniel Otamendi led to their exceptional spot in the finals with 9 goals against 2.5 goals

The next semi-finals were played between Team Salvo and ASC/RPC and the benchmark was raised superbly high. H.H. Padmanabh Singh and Vandit Golecha put up a prodigious performance and an brilliant resistance for ASC/RPC. For Salvo Salim Azmi, Gonzalo Yanzon and Nimit Mehta played with an unmatched passion yet they fell short by one goal leading to ASC/RPC getting the second spot in the semi-finals.

21st February 

The finals of the tournament saw the impeccable teams of ASC/RPC and Achievers Vishwa Samudra going against each other. Daniel Otamendi and Gaurav Sahgal left everyone agape as they were persistent in the performance. For ASC/RPC Naik Ravindra Mang and H.H. Sawai Padmanabh Singh put up an wonderful defense yet the Achievers Team wouldn’t settle for anything other than victory and hence took the last goal. Eventually they picked up the trophy of the RPC Cup.
