Semi-Final 1: White Deere Park vs Larapinta

Date: 18 October

White Deere Park had been phenomenal throughout the tournament, and they were up against the mighty Larapinta in the first semi-final game. Proceeding cautiously with the game, both teams were extremely defensive and were so evenly matched that they mirrored each other’s point till the halfway point. In the next two rounds, Larapinta scored at a little better pace to give themselves a one-point lead. It was up to the final round, and White Deere Park struck back by scoring a couple of goals and saving their goalposts from taking any goal, which turned things around and won them the game.

Winners: White Deere Park ( 6-5 )

Semi-Final 2: Ellerston White vs Gardenvale

The teams had little gap regarding experience or grit; by the end of the third round, both teams had the exact number of points. Gardenvale then decided to push a little harder and got a small lead by the next round, but Ellerston White fired back with three consecutive goals of their own in the fifth round, which helped a lot in the victory of this match.

Winners: Ellerston White ( 8-6 )

Subsidiary Final: Leisure Concepts vs Garangula

Date: 20 October

The subsidiary final between Leisure Concepts and Garangula took place alongside the mainstream matches. The latter team gave themselves a boosted start in the first half, but gradually, Leisure Concepts picked up the pace, caught up with the opposition in the second half, and scored a couple of goals in the last round to win the game.

Winners: Leisure Concepts ( 7-6 )

Final: White Deere Park vs Ellerston White

Date: 20 October

Finally, it was time for all-time consistent White Deere Park to face Ellerston White to claim the prestigious title of Ellerston Spring Trophy. Both teams were going at one another with all they got, and with each passing round, the anticipation kept growing. Ellerston White was ahead by the end of the second last round by a point, and going into the last round, White Deere Park did what they do best and came back by scoring three points when it mattered the most and claimed the title to their name.

Winners: White Deere Park ( 8-7 )
