The day is all set for The British High Commissioner’s Polo Day 2019 with The Sudan Cup. The Cup will see Hackett British Army go against the Indian Army.

The match started off with both the Army teams getting into the battle for The Sudan Cup. The action went rolling but there was no goals till half chukker. Soon after the teams returned after changing the ponies, Col Ravi Rathore from Indian Army bagged the first goal of the match in favor of the Indian Army. Answering back to this was Capt John Douglas Sleeman, who in a back hander struck the ball with which both the teams stood at an equivalent score of 1 each.

The second chukker gets back into action with both teams getting into action. The chukker did not any goal once again in the first half. But in the second half and more precisely in the last one minute, Col Ravi Rathore, VSM bracketed the second goal for the Indian Army. Soon after this, the umpire called for a 40 yard penalty in favor of Hackett British Army. Taking the opportunity was Gaston Devrient who captured the second goal for his team. Breaking the equalizer was Lt Col Vishal Chauhan. At this, the chukker ended.

After an interval of 15 minutes, both teams came back into play where once again the Indian Army maintaining their lead grabbed the fourth goal with Capt Raghav Raj Singh on strike. This was followed by Capt Raghav Raj Singh bagging yet another goal for the Indian Army team. With this, the scores rested at 5 goals to 2 in favor of Indian Army.
