he Cavalry Gold Cup Finals had two of Indian Polo Circuits best teams playing for the title. Sona Polo, with its ace players Abhimanyu Pathak (+5), Kartikeya Singh (-1), Daniel Otamendi (+6) and patron and captain Sunjay Kapur (0) competing against Rajnigandha Achievers. Playing for Rajnigandha Achievers were Gaurav Sehgal (+4), Rakesh Sharma (-2), Bhavani Singh Kalvi (+2) & Matthew Perry (+6).
The match already for shadowed the results as Sona Polo displayed their finest performance on the field, by not only thwarting their opponents every attempt to score but also by securing a lead within the first few minutes of the starting chukker. As the match continued, there were moments where Rajnigandha Achievers came very close to equalizing the score but soon enough Sona Polo would catch up and stifle their opponent’s performance by their imposing defence. Furthermore, Rajnigandha Achievers' missed penalty shots and poor form cost them the victory. The final scores came up to 5-4, despite the marginal difference in the final score Sona Polo's team dynamic and each player's individual performance was a sight to behold.
The title of the Most Valued Player was awarded to the young Kartikeya Singh while Gaurav Sehgal's Sridevi was named the Best Playing Pony.
