Galas In Goa: Christmas Capital of the Country

French Christmas Market, Pondicherry 

Pondicherry’s French Quarter transforms into a charming winter wonderland during Christmas. “Pondicherry, with its French colonial heritage, offers a unique and enchanting Christmas experience. In the olden days, churches like the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges were beautifully decorated, drawing both the French community and locals for midnight Mass. The tradition continues, with streets lined with French-style villas adorned with fairy lights and festive decorations,” writes Waquar Habib of Outlook Traveller.
