A delightful Christmas Carnival was ushered on the 20th December 2018 at The Imperial as local artisans from across India display handicrafts, souvenirs, textiles and jewelry and Christmas delicacies like mulled wine, chocolate fountain, gingerbread biscuits and other sweet treats at the luxurious resort. The lobby at The Imperial outshined with a larger than life hand-crafted installation of a Christmas Tree symbolic of a deep forest paving way for reindeers, going out to join Santa Claus to guide the sleigh which to every viewer was phenomenal. The Christmas carnival also had a huge gingerbread house giving a nostalgia of the olden days with the most indulgent Christmas goodies at patisserie La Baguette. While LA POLO interviewed the viewers and stallers, executives of the Christmas carnival, we were amused to see the excitement and thrill with festivities spreading gaiety all over. The various craftsperson from all over the country had their stalls enticed up at the Christmas carnival. Vijay Wanchoo -Senior Executive Vice president General Manager of The Imperial was glad to have organized the Christmas carnival for the first time.

At one hand where the Delhi crowd was busy enjoying the Christmas celebration, on the other hand, khushbu brand ( a stall at the carnival), was thriving to make their income for the festival.
“The Imperial has given us an opportunity with its old yet magnificent heritage and culture. We started our brand in 2011 as a literacy programme to support and encourage ladies from all over the world. Later we initiated our own sewing plants to develop the income generation project and incorporated a block training for ladies. We hope this Christmas brings all of us a good luck charm”.
