Copa Republica Argentina Celebrates The Best of Polo

It was time for polo to return to its most ideal place, offering blistering live action, enamouring everyone with mind-boggling clashes.

Sixteen teams embedded with some of the most renowned jewels of polo were ready to face each other in one of the most challenging tournaments of polo, the Copa Republica Argentina. A recap:

Semi-Final 1 (Copa La Nacion): Ellerstina La Zeta vs La Matera – La Vete

Date: 27 March 

In the first semi-final of the Capa La Nación, Ellerstina La Zeta went head-to-head with La Matera – La Vete in a fiercely competitive, high-scoring showdown. Ellerstina La Zeta delivered a stellar performance, executing every move with precision and flair. While La Matera – La Vete matched the intensity and stayed close on the scoreboard, they ultimately fell short, unable to surpass the polished play of Ellerstina La Zeta, who advanced to the finals in commanding fashion.

Winners: Ellerstina La Zeta ( 15-12 )

Semi-Final 1: Las Rosas vs La Dolfina – Oriental 

Date: 27 March 

The first semi-final of the Copa República Argentina saw Las Rosas take on La Dolfina – Oriental. Dominating the field with confidence and precision, Las Rosas powered their way to the finals by netting an impressive 14 goals—more than enough to seal a commanding victory and become the first team to book a spot in the final.

Winner: Las Rosas ( 14-7 )

Semi-Final 2: La Irenita vs Estancia Grandeur Polo Club 

The second finalist emerged from a thrilling, high-scoring clash between La Irenita and Estancia Grandeur Polo Club. As the match unfolded, spectators were treated to an absolute goal fest, with a staggering 33 goals scored in total. La Irenita delivered a dominant performance, netting an impressive 18 of those goals to secure their well-earned place in the finals.

Winner: La Irenita ( 18-15 )

Semi-Final 2 (Copa La Nacion): Trenque Lauquen Betania vs Mar Del Plata Bravo Polo Team 

Date: 27 March 

The second semi-final game of the tournament was another high-scoring game between Trenque Lauquen Betania and Mar Del Plata Bravo Polo Team. Goals were raining down in Argentina as both teams went back and forth at one another. Trenque Lauquen Betania proved to be a little better at absorbing pressure and scored 16 goals to push themselves over the finish line. 

Winner: Trenque Lauquen Betania ( 16-13 )

Subsidiary Final: Ellerstina La Zeta vs Trenque Lauquen Betania

Date: 29 March 

The subsidiary final for the Copa La Nacion was played between Ellerstina La Zeta and Trenque Lauquen Betania. The game, which looked quite close, moved closer and closer to the former team with each round. Scoring a couple of points and more than a dozen goals, Ellerstina La Zeta won the Copa La Nacion in a dictatorial way. 

Winner: Ellerstina La Zeta ( 14-10 )

Final: La Irenita vs Las Rosas

Date: 29 March 

The tournament was finally down to its last and most important game, the finals. La Irenita had the perfect dream start to the game, scoring seven goals in the first round. However, they were hindered by Las Rosas, which caused the massive lead to be completely diminished by the end of the sixth round. La Irenita received their wake-up call in the last round when they used all the weaponry from their arsenal to score a couple of goals, which ensured the 2025 Copa Republica Argentina to their name. 

Winner: La Irenita ( 13-12 )
