The Deauville International Polo Club returns this August with some fantastic Polo on display, something for the fans in France and around the world to be buzzing for. This event is back in August with three main tournaments, including the prestigious Gold Cup much coveted by European team captains and great Argentine professionals. The tournaments are a treat as they have the biggest names on display including those of Adolfo Cambasio, Facundo Pieres and many more.
The Deauville International Polo club was founded in 1907. Deauville being one of the most renowned equestrian cities of France, is known for the horse race, show jumping, dressage, and polo. Composed of a rich equestrian agenda throughout the year, the city provides a seaside resort, a spot to relax and enjoy the luxuries of the game and the glorious place.
DEAUVILLE’S LOVE FOR POLO
Polo matches in Deauville are unique experiences celebrated in a special atmosphere. Here, the players interact with the public in post-match award ceremonies in large and cozy areas as they discuss the most thrilling and breathtaking moments of the match with a drink and enjoy a great atmosphere of the city.
THE LADIES POLO CUP

The event kick starts with “Ladies first”, a rich program which stars with The Ladies Polo Cup on 7th August, a female tournament growing in strength along with its level of play. The world no.1 Lia Salvo, from Argentina, will be there to defend her crown with her team, Brok café alongside her French teammates. The final will be played on Saturday, August 10.
GOLD CUP
The 70th Edition of The legendary Gold Cup will kick-off just after the Silver Cup, which will be played from 10th to 15th August. This iconic and most awaited International Tournament will feature the biggest and finest names to ever grace the Polo field, including the likes of Cambiaso, Pieres, Gracida, Heguy, Ullao, Caset and Bensadon. – Father and son – families, defending champions that enchanted the public last year in Deauville. The final match will be on August 25th this year. The best French professionals are awaited for this prestigious tournament.
BRONZE CUP
This tournament holds prestige in the hearts of all French Polo Players (6-8 goals), and this year the Bronze Cup will kick off on 14th August. The tournament witnesses the public attending epic challenges as the feeling of winning a title in Deauville remains an irreplaceable achievement in the career of a French Polo player.
BEACH POLO
Beach Polo is the complete celebration of Polo for the holiday-makers and it gives them the opportunity to learn how the noble game can be made accessible to them as they can finally approach these strong horses with a gold personality, as Sometimes polo leaves the Deauville – La Touques Racecourse and heads to the beach of Deauville, where Beach Polo demonstrations are held at low tide.! In the morning, horses are seen in groups led by petiseros (also known as Argentine horse trainers) that ensure the physical preparation and training of horses on the seaside.
KIDS POLO EXHIBITION
Polo is also played at a young age in France, as several polo clubs and equestrian centers now include a Polo Poney club. A major national championship for children is held in Lamotte-Beuvron in June. The Deauville International Polo Club organizes a few Kids Polo exhibition matches in which children ride Shetland ponies.
