The Delhi Polo Ground came alive with five days of sublime polo, as three of India’s finest teams showcased their skill, grit, and potential in a thrilling display of the sport. Each match echoed with cheers, turning the capital’s polo turf into a stage for sporting excellence. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of The Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, and Askaran Agarwala, Group Advisor, Birla Group Trusts.

Match 1: Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers

The first game was held between two mighty contenders, Jindal Panther and Rajnigandha Achievers. Both teams were equally matched and had an engaging game that demanded their focus. However, the gods of fortune favoured Jindal Panther in the very first game, giving them the better half of the 11 goals scored in the match.

Match 2: Jindal Panther vs Cavalry Royal Enfield

The second game was played between the victors of the first game, the Jindal Panther, and appearing for the first time in the tournament, the Cavalry Royal Enfield. The latter team started with a points advantage. Despite being put into a hard spot, Jindal Panther held their composure to diminish the lead and went beyond the stalemate position. Managing to maintain the lead, they won their second consecutive game of the tournament.

Match 3: Rajnigandha Achievers vs Cavalry Royal Enfield
Date: 28 March
The third game was played to claim the second spot in the finals. Cavalry Royal Enfield again started with a points advantage. However, Rajnigandha Achievers managed to perform under pressure and scored goals even with trembling mallets towards the end of the game, qualifying for the finals of this event.

Final: Rajnigandha Achievers vs Jindal Panther
Date: 30 March
The final game of this highly addictive tournament was the same match-up as the first game. Rajnigandha Achievers were prepared for the challenge. Limiting the goal-scoring of Jindal Panther, they shut down their scoreboard and chipped in a few of their own goals to take their revenge from the first game. The final bell rang, and Rajnigandha Achievers chose a moment to get back at Jindal Panther after the first loss and claim the title of the Aditya Birla Memorial Polo Cup to their name.
