The festivities of this tournament began with a game between Delta Mayfair and Patron’s Polo Club. All attendees welcomed the anticipation that blurred their vision of seeing the winners until the last minute. However, Delta Mayfair had blasted one extra goal from their mallets to be in the lead when eventually time gave out, and Patron’s Polo Club, despite trying hard, had to face a close defeat.

Match 2: Achievers Dynamix vs Jindal Panthers 

The second game between Achievers Dynamix and Jindal Panthers on the same day featured the same intensity as the first. Interestingly, the former team had a lot of tricks up their sleeves, so the Jindal Panthers couldn’t think of any counters in the limited period. Eventually, the Achievers won the game by the slimmest of margins in the polo game.

Match 3: Achievers Dynamix vs Suján Indian Tigers

The next day dawned a new opportunity for Achievers Dynamix and Suján Indian Tigers to pick up a win for themselves. The latter team started with a little point’s advantage. The competition was close for both these teams, and Suján Tigers almost defeated the Achievers with the help of the points advantage given to them, but the opposite side didn’t give up and cleared this round by a victory of just 0.5 points.

Match 4: Patron’s Polo Club vs Suján Indian Tigers

Date: 28 February 

This day presented two fascinating games for spectators. The first one was between Patron’s Polo Club and Suján Indian Tigers. Both teams started off on equal footing, but the gods of fortune shined bright upon the latter side, and Suján Tigers made an intense comeback into the tournament with the help of this match.

Match 5: Jindal Panthers vs Delta Mayfair

The first semi-final featured the mighty Achievers Dynamix against the witty Patron’s Polo Club. The latter team started with a 0.5-goal advantage. Both teams had a stand-off match, where neither wanted to concede any extra points, resulting in a low-scoring game. Despite the resistance shown by the opposition, Achievers Dynamix’s excellent start in the first round helped them survive this standoff and got them their ticket into the finals.

Semi-Final 2: Delta Mayfair vs Jindal Panthers 

The second semifinalist was an intriguing battle between Delta Mayfair and Jindal Panthers. Delta Mayfair always had an edge over Jindal Panthers throughout the game. They were tied only at the end of the third round with three points each. Henceforth, Delta Mayfair picked up pace to score consistently to just tip off Jindal Panthers’ total goals.

Final: Delta Mayfair vs Achievers Dynamix 

Date: 2 March 

The bright sun shone on two teams, the Delta Mayfair and Achievers Dynamix, as they descended upon the field to face each other in the final game of the Sawai Man Singh Gold Vase Cup. Achievers Dynamix had a firm hold on the game during the initial rounds, and by the third chukker, they could gain a lead of two points. However, all odds changed in the final round when Delta Mayfair put all they had into the game to score three magnificent back-to-back goals and engraved their names as the winners of this year’s marvellous 8-goal tournament, the Sawai Man Singh Gold Vase Cup.
