Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series has been on the top of its game ever since its formation. It is ranked to be one of the top tournaments in the world today. The founder of the series Mohammad Al Habtoor created the series in the year 2009. Just after its establishment, the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series has moved to a new home ground – The Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.
On March 22, 2017, Brin Dai Polo defeated Zedan by 8 goals to 6 at the fourth tournament day of Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series 2017. After a 1 goal each in the first chukker, Zedan took the lead in the match and achieved a 3 goal difference at half time.
But in the fourth chukker Bin Drai bridged the lead and tied the game (4-4), they kept on going to win in the final period by 8 goals to 6 goals. Raúl Laplacete in Bin Drai and Pablo Mac Donough (Zedan), with 4 goals each, were the top scorers of the match.
