The tournament commenced with intensely close, nail-biting games won by the Habtoor Polo Team, Dubai Wolves, Ghantoot Polo, and the UAE Polo Team. These teams could pick up pace early, while others were still looking to break their curse of losing streaks.

Match 7: UAE Polo Team vs Ghantoot Polo 

Date: 25 January 

It was time for two fine teams, the UAE Polo Team and Ghantoot Polo, to face each other after their initial games. The former was ready from the word go and, not wasting even a minute, went aggressive to score goals and build up a massive lead by the end of the first round. Ghantoot Polo, seeing themselves fall too far behind, fought back hard in the fourth chukker, closed the gap significantly, and now were only two points behind. In the concluding round, both teams went defensive, which cost Ghantoot Polo the game as they were left behind courtesy of the lead built up by the UAE Polo Team.

Match 8: Dubai Wolves vs Bangash 

Spectators were warmed up for the day’s second game between Dubai Wolves and Bangash. The latter team started with a points advantage. Dubai Wolves were unwavering by the pressure and quickly compensated for it in the first round. From here on, there was no looking back; Dubai Wolves knew only one way of moving forward, i.e., by scoring goals. Bangash made a late push in the final chukker, scoring three goals in a valiant comeback attempt. However, it wasn’t enough, as they fell short by a couple of points, ending their hopes of advancing to the finals.

Match 10: Habtoor Polo Team vs Ghantoot Polo 

The final qualifier saw an intense clash between the Habtoor Polo Team and Ghantoot Polo. The match began on equal footing, but Ghantoot Polo quickly took the lead with consistent goal-scoring from the first round. The final day of the event had arrived, and the audience, snacks in hand, eagerly awaited the first match—a battle for third place between Ghantoot Polo and the Habtoor Polo Team. Determined to avenge their previous loss, Ghantoot Polo started strong, taking the lead in the opening round. However, Habtoor Polo quickly responded, overtaking them in a thrilling exchange of goals. As the match progressed, Ghantoot Polo mounted a decisive charge, scoring three crucial goals to reclaim the lead and successfully hold onto it through the remaining chukkers, securing a well-earned victory.

Final: Dubai Wolves vs UAE Polo Team

Date: 1 February 

The final showdown for the Silver Cup featured an intense battle between two of the most consistent teams, the Dubai Wolves and the UAE Polo Team.
