Dynamix Achievers Win 8th Consecutive Indian Open Polo Championship

The Indian Open Polo Championship, presented by Jindal Steel—a 125-year-old legacy and the most prestigious showcase of polo excellence in the country—unfolded in all its glory this past week.

Four high-goal teams took to the field, face-to-face in a battle for the ultimate bragging rights. As players clashed in a display of skill and strategy, the crowd poured in to witness the action, soaking in both the intensity of the matches and the festive atmosphere surrounding the ground.

The Indian Open Polo Championship, which began in 1900 and saw a revival in 1956 after a 17-year hiatus, is steeped in legacy. Known for attracting the sport’s finest talent, the tournament has seen goal levels soar past 30.

Commenting on the championship’s future, Naveen Jindal, patron and player of the Jindal Panther Polo Team, said, “I believe that within a couple of years, we can return to 20-goal polo in India. It was once the norm, but we’ve now revised the handicaps of Indian players to align with international standards. With the way our players are performing, I’m confident the Indian Open will soon rise to 16-goal, and eventually, even 20-goal once again.”
