Fast Drive: 918 Spyder

orsche’s answer to Mc Larren P1 and LaFerrari, proved to be more of a challenge to them. Porsche arrived first and wasted no time posting a 6.57mins Nürburgring lap time. Underneath is a carbon tub into which Porsche has packed a new 4.6-litre 608bhp naturally aspirated V8 and a pair of electric motors (one per axle – the 918 is 4WD) that produce a combined 282bhp. It’s all fabricated with the kind of engineering nous that Porsche is second to none at.

 

Driving Simply Wow, is too less to describe it, because it is much more. It glides onto the roads quite easily, and its versatility on different landscape is incredible. Be it the electric cities, smooth and manageable motorways, rough country roads or even razor sharp race tracks, it can adapt to each one of it easily.
