Ferne Park Win the Dollar Cup With A Superb Performance

Ten teams were ready for an epic encounter amongst themselves in hopes of engraving their names onto the dollar cup. A series of 26 matches was held in this complete event, entertaining the spectators for almost three weeks of sheer polo perfection.

Participating Teams

Qualifier: DJ Cats vs Gallagher 

Date: 19 May 

In one of the most intense qualifier games, the mighty DJ Cats went up against Gallagher. The game was close, as Gallagher was not ready to give up too many points. DJ Cats responded with a brilliant defensive approach in the match, and as soon as they got the chance to score, they did so, which kept them one point ahead by the end of the final round. 

Winner: DJ Cats ( 8-7 )

Qualifier: Bamboleo vs Gould 

Date: 28 May 

In another qualifier, Bamboleo showed their grit against Gould’s team. The former team looked phenomenal as they kept scoring multiple goals and kept the opposition under pressure. Not only did they score tonnes of goals, but they also restricted Gould from scoring, hence winning the game by a huge margin of half a dozen points. 

Winner: Bamboleo ( 10-4 )

Semi-Final 1: Ferne Park vs Gould 

Date: 30 May 

The first semi-final game was a match between two of the tournament’s strongest teams: Ferne Park and Gould. Both contenders fought hard in this game. Ferne Park, however, played a little better and, showcasing unmatched teamwork, was able to outperform Gould. The team scored just over six goals in this knockout game, filled with pressure to secure their seats in the finals. 

Winner: Ferne Park ( 7-6 )

Semi-Final 2: Maiz Dulce vs Bamboleo 

The second semi-final was a fight between Maiz Dulce and Bamboleo. This turned out to be pretty one-sided towards the end. Bamboleo tried hard to press the throttle when the game was in its most crucial stages, but couldn’t execute the plans efficiently on the field. On the other hand, Maiz Dulce showcased some pretty cool shots to score ten goals in total, which proved enough to qualify for the finals. 

Winner: Maiz Dulce ( 10-7 )

Subsidiary (Hartridge Cup) Semi-Final 1: DJ Cats vs Oriflamme 

Date: 30 May 

Along with the mainline matches for the Hartridge Cup, the first semi-final was held between DJ Cats and Oriflamme. DJ Cats had the better teamwork, which was quite evident from the start as they scored goals frequently in almost every round. Oriflamme tried to come back into the game but was not up to the mark and conceded the game to DJ Cats by three points. 

Winner: DJ Cats ( 8-5 )

Subsidiary (Hartridge Cup) Semi-Final 2: Play Polo vs Gallagher 

The second semi-final for the Hartridge Cup was played between Play Polo and Gallagher. The latter team had a points advantage going into the game. This low-scoring game brought everyone to the edges of their seats as it advanced into the concluding phases. Play Polo played astonishingly well and scored four goals with flying colours to pass this tournament level.

Winner: Play Polo ( 4-2.5 )

Subsidiary (Hartridge Cup) Final: Play Polo vs DJ Cats

Date: 1 June 

The subsidiary final was held after a one-day break between the Play Polo and DJ Cats teams. The latter team started with a points advantage. Despite being behind in points at the start, Play Polo was able to play according to its strengths and score multiple goals whenever it had the chance. Their phenomenal teamwork and efforts collectively helped them secure nine goals, enough to win them the Hartridge Cup.

Winner: Play Polo ( 9-6.5 )

Final: Ferne Park vs Maiz Dulce 

Date: 1 June 

Ferne Park and Maiz Dulce faced off in a nail-biting final stretch of the Dollar Cup. The match remained neck and neck, with tension etched on every fan’s face. Maiz Dulce held their own, matching Ferne Park’s scoring pace for most of the game. But in a race against both time and their rivals, Ferne Park edged ahead with a crucial goal, sealing their one-point lead and clinching victory in the 2025 edition of the Dollar Cup.
