The most awaiting match of La Aguada Cowdray Park Polo Trophy, the 16-goal tournament within the 2017 HSBC Spring Season, at La Aguada Polo Club, in Open Door, Argentina, that was to be held today i.e. 20thNovember, 2017. Got disappointingly postponeddue to heavy rains; pouring down the excitement of the players as well as polo loversalong with the heavy rainfall.
The strong partnership between La Aguada Polo Club and Cowdray Park Polo Club, being one of the most prestigious polo clubs in England and Europe. The long history of the renowned club based in Midhurst, West Sussex, goes back to 1910, when it was established by the First Viscount Cowdray and the first tournament were played.
The club is the venue for the world-famous Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship, sponsored by luxury watchmakers Jaeger-LeCoultre, and ranked alongside the Argentine Open and USA Open in world polo terms.
The event was to happen up to 16 handicap goals between the teams opening the game by Monterosso vs. Cowdray Vikings followed by Conosco vs. Escorihuela Gascon. Alas! It landed in a bit displeasure due to unfavourable weather conditions being a bad image for the prestigious polo grounds.
Well nothing can be helped but to postpone the date further as per the requests expecting the weather conditions to get better and waiting for an enthralling match to happen
