German Polo Tour Goes International : DÜsseldorf High Goal Cup

The German Polo Tour, with six tournaments at six locations, the largest polo series in Germany and one of the most prestigious sporting events in Europe, offers both fast-paced polo and a spectacular ambience at top-notch levels.

For the 11th time already this June, four polish and country clubs in the Düsseldorf Polo & Country Club competed against one another at the Düsseldorf High Goal Cup. In the beautiful Angermund on the outskirts of Düsseldorf is the Polo Club, which has been in existence for more than 30 years, with direct motorway and airport connections.

With the friendly support of the state capital of Düsseldorf, this polo tournament has now become one of the most beautiful and prestigious pole events in Germany.

Düsseldorf and Polo are closely related. Polo has been a tradition here since the 1960s. That is why it is natural that in Dusseldorf is played in the highest game class, the High Goal. This year, the focus was on national teams. The four teams playing were, Bucherer, Land Rover, Ullrich, Hajo. These four teams are strengthened by top players, especially from Argentina, so that top level and internationality are guaranteed.

On Friday, 9th June at 1530 hours, match between Hajo Polo team and Dusseldorfer Polo club was won by the Hajo by 8-5. Same day at 17 hours a match was played between Land Rover and Aspern Polo Club which was won by the Aspern by 9-5.5 .

On 10th June 1330 hours the match between Aspern Polo Club and Dusseldorfer Polo Club took place which was won by Aspern by 10- 2.5, Same day at 1500 hours the match was played between the Land Rover and Hajo. The former won the match by 8-6.

On sunday, 11th june 1330 hours the match between Land Rover and Dusseldorfer Polo Club was won by Land Rover by 8-7. Same day at 1500 hours, Aspern Polo Club defeated Hajo, winning the match by 7- 6.5
