The Guards La Aguada Youth Tournament was hosted at The Prestigious Windsor Guards Polo Club which was established in 1955 by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh
The Guards La Aguada Youth Tournament is a tie-up between two of the finest and the best Polo Clubs in the world, The Guards Polo Club which was initially known under the name of the Household Brigade Polo Club. It was later in 1969 that it was named Windsor Guards, and The La Aguada Polo Club has more than 60 years of professional trajectory. Today The Argentine Polo Club covers all polo dimensions and looks towards the future through its new generations.
This tournament is an auspicious day as the children from the completely different parts of the world go head to head in the tournament. The credit for this highly anticipated match-up goes to high-goal player Eduardo Novillo Astrada, as his family sponsors the event as well. The inspiration behind this event is to build everlasting bonds between the future players of this rich and momentous sport as it also aims to develop leadership skills, and build character.

Now in its seventh year, the much competitive tournament took place on Saturday, 22nd June, and maintained the solid bonds between two of the most renowned polo clubs, Guards Polo Club, in England and La Aguada Polo Club, in Argentina. Both the clubs working closely to organize the tournament in both the countries to increase the popularity of the sport and also to improve the bond between both the parties involved.

The seventh edition of the Guards La Aguada Youth Tournament saw two of the Novillo Astrada brothers in attendance – Eduardo Jr. and Miguel, and Miguel’s daughter, 18-years-old Mia, who herself is one of the rising stars of ladies polo, as well as La Aguada’s Polo Manager, Thomas Hume. In honour of the strong bonds between the two clubs, Mr Hume stated that “throughout these seven years, we feel Guards Polo Club is like our home in England. At the same time, we are always happy to welcome Guards players and members at La Aguada every year, who also feel at home while in Argentina”.
The Guards Polo Club defeated La Aguada Polo Club as they claimed the seventh edition of Guards La Aguada Youth Tournament, The Kids Polo Competition.
UNDER-12 CATEGORY
The under-12 age group category saw an intense and hardly fought 1-1 tie between both sides before The Guards clinched the following match 4-0

And so it proved – following the awards presentation, everybody including the players and their families was welcomed to share a delicious post-match BBQ where everyone enjoyed each other’s company after a glorious day of Polo highlighting some of the very best traits of this game – competitiveness, friendship, and community.
