he Guggenheim museums spread around the world are famous for displaying their non-objective painting, unconventional art collection, and the amazing galas. The Solomon R. Guggenheim foundation was first established in 1937 and since then this foundation is a symbol of modern art.
On November 15 the pre-party event followed by the main event, the Guggenheim international Gala was held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum. Sponsored by the elite brand Dior, the pre-party event featured the trio of Haim sisters. The trio performed their second album “Something to Tell You”which was released earlier this year and the hit song “Little of Your Love”.
The Gala honored the Chinese artist Cai Guo – Qiang and the former president of the trustees of the museum for 12 years, Jennifer Blei Stockman. Dancer Daniil Simkin performed a dance show from his very own production “Falls the Shadow” featuring Dior costumes designed by Dior’s artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Chiuri, Christina and Robert Baker; Valerie and Charles Diker; Wendy Fisher and Dennis Goodman; Phyllis and William Mack; Nancy and Howard Marks; Lauren Baker Pinkus and Scott Pinkus; Pilar Crespi Robert and Stephen Robert; Denise and Andrew Saul, and Sidney Toledano co-chaired the Gala. The Gala exhibited “Art and China After 1989: Theater of the World” on the display.
The main focus of the two events was to raise money for the museum and to public the collaboration with the Chinese artists.
